It was revealed that the youngest son of Lee Kwang Ki, a well-known figure in Korean entertainment, passed away earlier today. The young boy was only seven years old.
Lee Kwang Ki's son, Suk Kyu passed away in Paik Hospital in Ilsan. "Kwang Ki called us earlier today; amidst his tears, he told us the devastating news about his son."
Reports revealed that the cause of death was sepsis bought about by complications from pneumonia. An acquaintance at the hospital revealed, "Kwang Ki's son was originally hospitalized because he showed the symptoms of swine flu. His illness wasn't serious when he was first admitted into the hospital."
Sources also revealed that Kwang Ki had been living alone in Korea and had sent his family to Manila, Philippines for his son and daughter's studies, and only reunited a few months ago. "Many entertainment stars have reached out and are mourning with him."
Aside from sepsis, many famous celebrities have been contracting swine flu lately. Although a vaccine has been found, it's clear that swine flu and other viruses have become a serious issue both in the kpop realm and worldwide.
