NewsEn is reporting that SS501 was chosen to be models for the French sports apparel brand Le Coq Sportif. Le Coq Sportif is a famous brand name in Europe, Korea, and Japan (not so much in America). They sponsor some famous soccer teams such as Manchester City F.C. Le Coq Sportif chose SS501 because they're a popular Korean Idol group with good looks, a very unique / fascinating fashion sense, and strong personalities that fits with the image of the brand. Another boon is the fact that Kim Hyun Joong was becoming very popular in Korea because of Boys Over Flowers. This is great news but there's more great news for their fans. SS501 is also scheduled to have a fanmeeting for two days (May 2nd and 3rd) on Jeju Island (Warm Climate Vacation Spot). This won't be any normal fanmeeting because the SS501 boys will dress up as Steward's and fly with the fans down to the island. They won't just be acting because they'll actually serve the fans like any Steward / Stewardess would. Around 350 total fans will be attending the fanmeeting (150 Korean and 200 Japanese). The whole trip will be filmed and will air on MNet sometime in May. After the boys being apart for so long, it's good to see them work and be together again.
