While watching America's Next Top Model's make over episodes, it suddenly dawned on me how important hair is to a person's attractiveness. Seo In-Young as one of johnnydorama's tricks immediately came to mind after. Kpop artists change hair styles with the promotion of a new album, that's a rule almost as solid as gravity. Whether they had anything to do with their new do's, artists' looks can go from totally gorgeous to absolutely fugly overnight. Have you woken up one day only to find your formerly delicious eye candy suddenly turn into an ugly duckling? Let's see whose hair made them, and whose hair broke them. Tiffany: With 9 members in one group, it is really hard to stand out: Fany was almost serving as a backdrop to the more glamorous looking girls in SNSD. Then came the haircut. She was nice looking before, but she is just adorable now (Appearance-wise, I'm not judging on bitchiness). The hair framed her face nicely, making her horse face and giant nose much more harmoniously put together. Top: This is a good looking man, no doubt. But the mop-like long hair had a similar effect as putting the school goth in a pink cheerleader skirt and pompoms. Misfit! The choppy short hair is much more in keeping with the bad-ass attitude. Sunye: The long hair was sweet looking, but her round face and high cheek bones looked quite out of place. The short hair is much sexier. Especially when she used it to her advantage, in So Hot, with that flippy move. It really is a hot haircut. Yunho: I would defend him with my life, but when discussing the long hair, the phrase of "big buff girl" kept on coming up. What do I say to that? Thankfully the man has gone back to the shorter hair since then. Yoobin: She has become a quick favorite among the guys for a good reason. This girl is probably incapable of looking bad. Both looks worked well, if anything I would say the long smooth locks made her look slightly older than her age, while the shorter messier hair gives her a funkier edge. Looking good as always! Changmin: Lion King. You know what I mean? It doesn't take a lot of effort to make him look good. He has such a gorgeous face, why hide it in messy manes? That look was rather unkempt during the DBSK concerts where they sweat so much artificial rain was never needed. At one point he had cornrows too. OUCH! And now for the king and queen of the haircut royalty: Seo In-Young: The lady that started it all. I actually did not know she had long hair once until I read johnnydorama's Halloween post. And upon searching the internet for long-haired Seo In-Young, I was shocked! What happened! Her facial features are very strong, and according to Tara Banks, this type of face should be able to pull off a very short hair cut. The problem is, the mushroom hair makes her face appear even rounder, i.e. a Mr. Potato Head. And her nose takes up approximately half of her face. Bring back the luscious long hair, Seo In-Young! You are looking like a man! Kim Hee-chul: Okay it was not hard to find a picture of him with long hair, and to be honest, it's not a bad look on him. But the short is more flattering by far. Maybe I'm just relieved that when I'm looking at pictures of him, people no longer mistake him as a girl, and me as a lesbian. Kpop is already on its way to take over all our lives.
