Yulhee has erased all signs of her ex-husband, Minhwan, from her life, including her YouTube channel. This comes a year after announcing their divorce.
On November 15, fans noticed that Yulhee’s YouTube channel, 'Yulhee's House,' no longer featured any content involving Minhwan. This decision is drawing attention, especially since Yulhee had previously left up videos and recordings related to Minhwan untouched, even after publicly accusing him of visiting illegal adult establishments. Those recordings have now been deleted as well.
Previously, Yulhee used her channel to share details about their troubled marriage, including conflicts, allegations of Minhwan’s misconduct, and her struggles with custody and alimony. She revealed that she initially wanted to take her children with her but decided to leave them due to challenges in her life.
On November 4, Yulhee filed for adjustments in custody, alimony, and property division at the Seoul Family Court. Many are interpreting her recent actions as a sign that she is determined to move forward without lingering over the past.
In a recent video, Yulhee shared her thoughts, saying, "I didn’t abandon my kids, but I was afraid they might think I did. I wondered if I was being narrow-minded. If I wanted to continue as their mother, maybe I should have accepted things differently. Still, I don’t regret my decision to divorce." She also emphasized her desire to remain a proud and responsible mother, saying, "I want to live without shame as a mother. I’ve always thought of my kids and will continue to do so. I just want to face them proudly one day."
Divorce lawyer Yang So Young commented on a personal broadcast that Yulhee has a strong chance of gaining custody, hinting that the initial custody arrangement was temporary and that plans for Yulhee to eventually reunite with her children were already in place.
Meanwhile, Minhwan recently made headlines for selling a property in Seoul's Gangnam district. The house, purchased in 2015 for 1.25 billion KRW (897,000 USD), was sold for approximately 3.8 billion KRW (2.73 million USD), yielding an estimated profit of 2.5 billion KRW (1.73 million USD). The property, featured on TV shows like 'The Return of Superman' and 'Mr. House Husband,' had been home to Minhwan’s family.
This news reignited public outrage, as Yulhee had previously revealed that Minhwan offered her only 50 million KRW (36,000 USD) in alimony and 2 million KRW (1,434 USD) in monthly child support during their divorce. Yulhee also stated that she had waived her right to alimony and custody for the sake of her children.
