Eight new contestants challenged the defending 'King', the 'Indian Doll', on the August 21 broadcast of MBC's 'King of Masked Singer'.
For the first duet battle of round 1, masked vocalist 'Steamed Cypresses' went up against 'Steamed Eggs'. The two sang a duet version of 2AM's "Confession Of A Friend".

Both contestants were applauded for their high quality vocals, but in the end, 'Steamed Eggs' was declared the winner.
'Steamed Cypresses' then performed his 2nd round song, J.Y. Park's "Swing Baby", where he also revealed his identity!
The singer behind the mask was ATEEZ's main vocalist, Jongho!
The idol revealed on this day, "Many of our foreign fans have asked me to appear on 'King of Masked Singer', so I decided to appear."
He also added on, "During my team promotions, I often have high notes. But I have not had many chances to sing solo songs, so some people say, 'He's only good at high notes'. I wanted to prove that this was not true."
The panelists and audience members were particularly sad when Jongho revealed that he had planned to sing Kim Bum Soo's hit song "More Than Blue" for his 3rd round song, which the ATEEZ member ultimately did not get to perform.

I'm not a fan of really high note, I prefer a lower range so I really appreciate this performance from Jongho. I recommend to watch, for people who are interested, his performance on Lee Mujin Serviece. It was amazing.
