On May 15, BTS made a guest appearance on CBS's 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert'!
Ahead of their entrance, 'The Late Show' host Stephen Colbert introduced the boys as the key figures behind "a new musical craze sweeping the globe". The members then entered dressed sharply in matching, black suits, sitting down for a fun, energetic interview (below)!
For their performance of the night, BTS had the honor of taking to the Ed Sullivan Theater - where The Beatles also made their U.S. television debut in 1964 - to sing their hit song "Boy With Luv". Earlier this year, BTS became the first artist since The Beatles to earn three Billboard #1 albums in single year.
You can catch BTS's full performance of "Boy With Luv", a super classy, black and white tribute to The Beatles, above! For 'The Late Show's edgy introduction of tonight's BTS-The Beatles connection, check out their 'BTS-Mania' video below.
Don't miss these GIFs via 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert's Twitter, either!
What a lovely homage! I thought their SNL was gonna be the best but the Late Show really outdid themselves. The acting, script, and filming was on point.

I loved it. I woke up at 5.30 AM to watch it 🤣
And I love how they're gradually improving their English.
I think that the comparison to the Beatles can bring backlash. I mean, it all started with comparing the fandoms but right now, western media start to use the term 'the next Beatles' without thinking about the fans. Especially after their third #1 album in a year.
But a quick reminder: at the very beginning, the Beatles were treated like some another boy band as well. Ofc many things are different now but my point is, let's just appreciate artists at their best.
