The Republic of Korea Army's official Facebook page celebrated a barber by posting a video of the man who has volunteered his haircutting skills to the ROK soldiers for the last 35 years.
So Young Do owns a barber shop near an army base in Gangwon Do, Korea, and has been visiting the army base every month to give free haircuts to all soldiers there.
In the video interview, So explained, "I was walking past the army base, and the soldiers seemed like they could be my son... I can easily cut 30 people's hair all on my own."

He started this 35 years ago and has been volunteering diligently ever since. Because of his admirable spirit of giving, So is respected and well-liked by everyone in the army base.
One of the soldiers who received a cut from So raved about the barber, saying, "We will train harder since you always come here for us."
So shared, "My children all finished the army and are now working. Many years have passed but I will continue to volunteer."
