Jaemin, a member of NCT Dream, has extended a helping hand to support wildfire recovery efforts.
On March 27, Jaemin donated 150 million KRW (approximately $102,300) to the Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Kim Byung Joon) for "supporting wildfire victims in the Yeongnam region." The donation will be used to assist firefighters who are dedicated to containing the wildfires and to provide relief for affected residents.
Jaemin expressed his heartfelt concern, stating, "I hope this small contribution can bring comfort and encouragement to those who have lost their precious daily lives due to the wildfire and to the firefighters risking their safety on the front lines."
With this donation, Jaemin has become a member of the Honor Society, a distinguished donor group within the Community Chest of Korea. Known for his interest in volunteer work and charitable giving, he credited his ability to contribute to his beloved fans, saying, "It is thanks to 'NCTzens' that I can give back. I will continue to share my heart with those in need."
Jaemin’s generous act has sparked a movement beyond individual contributions, inspiring fans to participate in charitable giving. As wildfires continue to wreak havoc, members of NCT’s fanbase, 'NCTzens,' are also joining donation efforts, further amplifying the impact of his goodwill.
