Comedian Lee Suji's latest parody, which has now sparked debate as actress Lee Cheong Ah appears to be the subject.

Lee Suji’s YouTube channel ‘Hot Issueji’ recently gained attention with her Daechi Mom parody, which also drew controversy. As a result, past parody content she created is now being revisited, including videos uploaded to the comedy channel ‘Ne Kalkomani’, which she worked on with fellow comedians.

One resurfaced video is ‘Actress Anna’s Rome Vlog: Daily Life, Reading, and Group Buying’, released on June 25th last year. In the video, Lee Suji transforms into the character of actress Anna and films a vlog documenting her trip to Rome.

In the parody, Actress Anna starts her day by drinking a glass of water, gazing out the window, and enjoying a leisurely morning coffee. She narrates, "As I sip my morning coffee, I reflect on today’s plans, my mindset for the day, and various thoughts related to acting through meditation." The vlog continues with scenes of her reading a book, washing her face, and completing her routine.

Though this video was uploaded eight months ago, it has recently gained renewed attention due to the buzz surrounding Lee Suji’s Daechi Mom parody. As public interest in her comedic content grows, her past videos are also drawing scrutiny.

However, just as the Daechi Mom parody stirred controversy for allegedly mocking Han Ga In, reactions to the Actress Anna content are also divided. Some viewers believe Lee Suji’s performance ridicules a specific person. Critics argue, "When someone is singled out and turned into an object of ridicule, it ceases to be comedy," "This is mockery disguised as comedy," and "If your joke turns someone into a target of hate or derision, it’s no longer just a joke."

The controversy intensified as speculation grew that Actress Anna was modeled after Lee Cheong Ah, who frequently shares travel and lifestyle vlogs on her own YouTube channel. The debate escalated further when Lee Suji liked a comment that read, "She sounds just like Lee Cheong Ah."

On the other hand, some netizens praised Lee Suji’s parody, commenting, "She perfectly captures the elegant diction yet lack of refined vocabulary of certain actresses," "Lee Suji is a comedic genius of our time," and "She nailed it!"
