BLACKPINK's Jennie has made history once again, thanks to the songs included in her acclaimed solo album "Ruby," setting new records on the Billboard Hot 100, the weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States.
According to the latest rankings released by Billboard on March 19, Jennie’s song “Handlebars” featuring Dua Lipa debuted at No. 80 on the Hot 100, while her title track “like JENNIE” entered the chart at No. 83. At the same time, Jennie’s pre-release single “ExtraL” featuring Doechii re-entered the Hot 100 at No. 99, marking its second non-consecutive week on the chart. With these achievements, Jennie has become the First K-pop Female Soloist to chart 3 Songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100, breaking the record previously set by her bandmate, Rosé, who managed to chart two songs simultaneously from her album 'Rosie.'
The successes don't end there, as it's worth noting that other songs included in "Ruby," such as "Mantra" and "Love Hangover," also previously charted on Billboard Hot 100, bringing the total number of songs from Jennie's album to five that have reached a position on the Hot 100. Thanks to all the above, Jennie’s "RUBY" broke the record for Jungkook's "GOLDEN" and Lisa's "ALTEREGO" (3 songs both) and is now the Album by a K-Pop Soloist with the Most Entries on Billboard Hot 100 in the History.
To the misfortune and anger of haters, this is not over yet, as a sixth song by Jennie has charted on the Billboard Hot 100 for several weeks in the past, this being "One Of The Girls" in collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, which has given the Korean superstar the record for the Most Songs on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart by a Female K-Pop Soloist.
