On February 12, tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereafter referred to as 'You Quiz') aired a special episode titled "The Miracle of Family," where comedians Yang Se Hyung and Yang Se Chan shared heartfelt memories of their late father.

During the episode, Yoo Jae Suk asked, "Your poems contain many references to your father. What kind of person was he?"

Yang Se Hyung responded, "He was a bit blunt, but he was always on our side. My mother played the role of a military sergeant, and my father comforted us and supported us in many ways."

Yang Se Chan reflected on his own memories, saying, "My father passed away when I was in my 30s. When I was in my 20s, I didn't even know he was sick. That time went by so quickly."

Recalling the moment he learned of his father’s terminal diagnosis, Yang Se Hyung shared, "I tried not to cry, but my younger sibling and my mother did. I felt like if I broke down, there would be no one left to hold me up. That’s when I truly understood what it means to swallow your tears."

He continued, "After my father passed away, I couldn't bring myself to delete his number. Instead, I would send him text messages, telling him what I wanted to say. Whenever I had to make a final decision, I would always ask my father. His words were always right."

Reflecting on the responsibility of making decisions without his father’s guidance, Yang Se Hyung admitted, "After he passed away, I had to start making the final decisions. But even though I'm in my 30s, even in my 40s, I still feel like a child. When I try to make decisions like an adult, it’s really hard. I just wish I could hear him say, 'You're doing well.'"

Yoo Jae Suk then recalled an incident, saying, "It's been about a year since Se Chan was hospitalized, right? I called him, and he said, 'Se Hyung is here with me.'"

Yang Se Chan shared an anecdote about his health struggles, saying, "These days, I get seriously ill at least once a year. Whenever I need surgery, my brother is always there. Since everyone in my family has a short lifespan, I have to take good care of myself. My brother always lightens the mood. When I came back from the hospital after surgery, he told me, 'Your health is the most important thing,' but then he started doing push-ups right next to me while I was lying down."

Yang Se Hyung laughed and said, "When I saw that, I thought, 'Yes, Se Hyung, we have to stay healthy.' It gave me strength. That moment helped me regain my energy. He makes me laugh again, and I'm really grateful for him."

Overcome with emotion, Yang Se Chan turned to his brother and said, "If there's one thing I want to tell you—I'm in my 40s now, but you're also 41. I'm not the little kid who used to follow you around and worry all the time anymore. I hope you don’t worry too much about me." He then broke down in tears.
