Actor Lee Byung Hun is set to reunite with Yoo Jae Suk on the web variety show Pinggyego, hosted on the YouTube channel DdeunDdeun.

According to IZE on February 20, Lee Byung Hun will participate in the recording of Pinggyego on the morning of February 21. This is not the first time the two stars have appeared together on a variety show. 

In August 2023, ahead of the release of his film 'Concrete Utopia,' Lee made a guest appearance on tvN’s 'You Quiz on the Block,' where he received an enthusiastic response from viewers. Now, approximately a year and a half later, he is once again joining Yoo Jae Suk, this time ahead of his new film 'The Match.' Fans are eager to see what stories Lee will share this time around.

Scheduled for release on March 26, 'The Match' tells the compelling story of Cho Hun Hyun, a legendary South Korean Go (baduk) player, as he faces a defining challenge against his former student. With his natural competitive spirit, he strives to reclaim his place at the top. The film is expected to vividly portray the intense matches between master Cho Hun Hyun and his protégé, Lee Chang Ho, which were widely discussed in real-life Go history.

Lee Byung Hun takes on the role of Cho Hun Hyun, while Yoo Ah In plays the young disciple Lee Chan Ho, who eventually becomes his rival. However, 'The Match' faced a prolonged delay in its release due to Yoo Ah In’s drug scandal. As a result, the promotional efforts for the film have largely fallen on Lee Byung Hun. Notably, recent posters and trailers for the film have omitted Yoo Ah In’s appearance.

Lee Byung Hun has consistently left a strong impression with his witty storytelling in a variety show appearances. As he takes on the responsibility of promoting 'The Match,' anticipation is high for his upcoming episode of Pinggyego, where he is expected to captivate viewers once again with his charm and humor.
