Park Gyu Young recently posted a potential significant spoiler related to 'Squid Game Season 3' on her social media before hastily deleting it.
On January 8, Park Gyu Young’s agency, Saram Entertainment, stated, "Please watch Season 3 to confirm the details."
This vague response came after Park Gyu Young shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the Squid Game set on her Instagram story, without issuing an apology. The photo featured Park Gyu Young in a "pink guard" uniform resting alongside another unannounced actor wearing the same outfit. However, since the pink guards play a crucial role in the series' storyline, the post was seen as a significant spoiler, revealing a potential major plot twist in Season 3 and shocking fans.
Netflix has maintained strict security measures over the years. During the production of Squid Game Seasons 2 and 3, Netflix required all actors, staff, and even hundreds of invited journalists to sign confidentiality agreements before entering the set, highlighting the company’s intense focus on secrecy.
In response to the controversy, Netflix stated, "We have no official comment at this time." This silence contrasts with the company’s previous swift denial of rumors, such as the speculation around Leonardo DiCaprio’s involvement, which they immediately refuted as "groundless." Many interpret the silence as an implicit acknowledgment of the incident.
Meanwhile, Squid Game Season 3 is scheduled for release in 2025.
