On January 16, singer Lee Hyori appeared as a guest on MBC FM4U’s 'A Perfect Day with Lee Sang Soon,' hosted by her husband and DJ Lee Sang Soon. During the broadcast, she shared candid updates about her life as a homemaker.

Lee Hyori expressed her delight at joining the show, saying, "I’m so happy to participate after just listening from home. I tune in every day because it’s nice to check how my husband is doing at work. I listen with a prayerful heart, hoping he doesn’t say anything odd."

When Lee Sang Soon asked about her thoughts on changes in him, Lee Hyori responded, "You’ve always had this calm vibe, so there hasn’t been much change. But that’s what I truly love about you. Even as a DJ, there aren’t dramatic shifts, but I think listeners appreciate your consistent nature. If you became too familiar, you might lose your freshness and purity, so I think it’s perfect as it is. A little imperfection makes everything complete."

Lee Hyori also revealed how her role as a homemaker has evolved since Lee Sang Soon started his DJ journey two months ago. 

"It’s been about two months since he began, and that’s how long I’ve been cooking for him. My cooking skills have gradually improved. I’ve come to deeply respect homemakers across Korea. Just deciding what to cook is exhausting. I always want to prepare something different, so I even went to Noryangjin Fish Market and bought 40 butterfish. I couldn’t control the quantity and ended up buying 160 fish over three trips, semi-drying them and grilling them for him. He joked that it feels like fish roe might come out of his mouth."

Reflecting on her cooking habits, she admitted, "Through cooking, I’ve realized I have a ‘big hand.’" Lee Sang Soon chimed in, "She’s quick and makes so many side dishes. But I’m fine with just one or two simple ones."

To this, Lee Hyori quipped, "I try to make more side dishes for him, but hearing that reaction makes me realize that it’s not physical exhaustion but mental loneliness that homemakers face,"  sparking laughter.

Her witty and heartfelt remarks showcased the dynamic between the couple, leaving listeners charmed and entertained.
