It has been reported that Gong Yoo and Song Hye Kyo will be starring in the upcoming drama 'Slowly, Intensely' (Tentative English title).

On January 13, Star News reported that the drama had already begun filming on January 12.

Written by acclaimed screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung, 'Slowly, Intensely' is set in the broadcasting world of the 1960s and 1970s, depicting the lives of stars and the people who create them. This marks Song Hye Kyo's third collaboration with Noh Hee Kyung, following 'Worlds Within' (KBS2, 2008) and 'That Winter, The Wind Blows' (SBS, 2013).

Gong Yoo, who will be co-starring with Song Hye Kyo, will also be reuniting with director Lee Yoon Jung for this drama. Lee Yoon Jung previously directed Gong Yoo in the popular MBC drama 'Coffee Prince.'

Meanwhile, 'Slowly, Intensely' is a 22-episode series with a reported production budget exceeding 70 billion KRW (approximately 47.7 million USD). The production team plans to complete filming in the first half of the year and release the series on Netflix.
