Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin made her first public appearance after resigning, sharing candid thoughts.
On December 6, Min Hee Jin spoke as a guest lecturer at the "Women Who Became a Genre" talk concert hosted by Hanwha General Insurance and Folin at Dreamplus Gangnam in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
During her talk, Min Hee Jin shared, "Living with conviction isn't easy. I face a lot of criticism." She added, "People fabricate things to attack me, but I can't keep saying, 'That's a lie,' every day. You must bear the injustice and prove yourself through your work, actions, and true self."
She continued, "If your words sound great but what you deliver is disappointing, those words will mean nothing. In the end, you have to prove yourself with results. That’s why I think work is so precious," sharing her philosophy.
Min Hee Jin also opened up about her feelings regarding the current controversies surrounding HYBE, ADOR, and its sub-labels, which have put her under constant scrutiny. She said, "Unthinkable lies surface, and if I clarify, they say I clarified; if I deny, they say I denied. I can confidently say I’m in a worse place than you might imagine."
She reflected, "At my first press conference, I said people believe what they want to believe. Over time, people will know whose words were true. I hope the lawsuits end quickly and everything gets resolved, but time doesn’t flow as I wish. It’s unbearably painful, but I must focus on the essence of things."
Meanwhile, on November 28, NewJeans held an emergency press conference, announcing the termination of their exclusive contract with ADOR as of midnight on November 29. They declared their intention to work alongside Min Hee Jin moving forward.
