According to a Ten Asia report on December 2nd, TWICE has completed filming for 'IU’s Palette.' The group, set to make their comeback with the mini-album 'STRATEGY' on December 6th, appeared on the show to discuss their new release and share various stories.
TWICE’s title track, 'Strategy (feat. Megan Thee Stallion),' has garnered significant attention for featuring the renowned rapper, Megan Thee Stallion, a major figure in American music who has won awards at the Grammys, American Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards.
Even after 10 years since their debut, TWICE continues to show remarkable growth. Their 13th mini-album, 'With YOU-th,' released in February, topped the Billboard 200, the main chart of the U.S. Billboard. Furthermore, their fifth world tour, spanning 51 concerts across 27 regions, drew 1.5 million attendees in large concert venues worldwide, showcasing their enduring popularity.
'IU’s Palette' is a talk show and music content series available on IU’s official YouTube channel 'Easy Now.' Previous guests have included BTS's V, NewJeans, Day6, and Younha, who have all collaborated with IU on the platform.
IU recently held her solo concert, '2024 IU Her World Tour Concert Encore: The Winning,' at Seoul's Sangam World Cup Stadium on September 21st and 22nd. She made history as the first female singer to perform at the venue, selling out approximately 100,000 seats. During the concert, IU included photos of female artists who had greatly influenced her in the VCR for her 'Shh...' stage, with TWICE among those featured, drawing attention.
On the same occasion, IU announced her casting in the new MBC drama, '21st Century Grand Prince's Wife' (tentative title). The drama, set in a 21st-century constitutional monarchy in the Republic of Korea, tells the romance between a commoner woman and the son of a king. IU will star alongside Byun Woo Seok, known for his lead role in tvN’s 'Sunjae Up and Twit.'
Meanwhile, TWICE’s new mini-album, 'STRATEGY,' is set for release on December 6th at 2 PM KST (midnight EST).
