Actor Park Gyu Young shared her thoughts on the release of 'Squid Game 2.'
On December 31, Netflix Korea's YouTube channel uploaded a video where Park Gyu Young talks about her role in the drama.
In the video, Park Gyu Young introduced her character, saying, “Noeul is a character who served as a soldier in the North and defected. In the process, she lost her family, and finding her daughter became the only reason for her to keep living. She’s a very dark character.”
Park Gyu Young added, “Noeul wasn’t a participant in the game but a pink guard. This is almost the first time I’m speaking about it this openly,” she said, expressing her excitement with, “It’s giving me dopamine.”
She continued, “The backstories of the game’s organizers, not just the participants, haven’t been explained before. I’m glad I could portray one of the narratives of the pink guards. Many viewers probably assumed I was a participant, so I hope they were surprised. Thank you so much to all the fans who watched.”
Meanwhile, the Netflix series 'Squid Game 2' was released worldwide on December 26.
