BTS’s Jin has taken global charts by storm with his latest release, Happy.
According to Spotify’s latest chart update on November 16, Jin’s title track ‘Running Wild’ from his new album Happy achieved over 4.93 million streams on its release day (November 15). The song debuted at No. 8 on Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global chart, marking Jin’s highest-ranking solo track to date. This surpasses his previous record set by his pre-release single ‘I’ll Be There’, which debuted at No. 9 on October 25.
In addition to its global success, ‘Running Wild’ entered the Top 10 of the Daily Top Songs charts in 10 countries and regions, including South Korea, Singapore, and Thailand. Other tracks from the album, such as ’I’ll Be There’ (No. 20), ‘Heart on the Window’ (with Wendy) (No. 99), ‘Another Level’ (No. 106), ‘Until I Reach You’ (No. 115), and ‘In Longing’ (No. 124), also charted globally.
Jin’s Happy energy extended to Japan, where ‘Running Wild’ claimed the top spot on Oricon’s Daily Digital Singles Ranking on November 15. Other tracks from the album also made impressive showings, with ‘Until I Reach You’ at No. 9, ‘I’ll Be There’ at No. 11, ‘Heart on the Window’ (with Wendy) at No. 14, ‘In Longing’ at No. 15, and ‘Another Level’ at No. 17, all landing within the Top 20.
On the sales front, Happy set a new personal best for Jin. According to Hanteo Chart, the album sold over 840,000 copies on its release day, surpassing the first-week sales of his previous solo single ‘The Astronaut’. The title track ‘Running Wild’ also topped the iTunes Top Songs charts in 70 countries and regions, including Australia, Finland, and Brazil, further cementing Jin’s global appeal.
