Jin has opened the doors to his 'Happy' activities together with ARMY (the fandom name).
On November 16 and 17, BTS's Jin held a fan showcase titled 'Jin 'Happy' Special Stage' at Jangchung Gymnasium in Jung-gu, Seoul. Celebrating the release of his solo album 'Happy', Jin performed all the tracks live with a full band and interacted with fans through various segments.
Appearing on stage accompanied by the band, Jin greeted the audience, saying, "This time, I'm filled with a pleasant kind of nervousness because my solo album 'Happy' has been released." He added, "Since this album was made for ARMY, I came fully prepared to make you all happy today," addressing the fans who filled the venue.
On the final day of the fan showcase, Wendy from Red Velvet made a surprise appearance to perform 'Heart on the Window (with Wendy)' together. The harmony created by these leading male and female vocalists of K-pop moved the audience profoundly. Wendy shared, "I loved the song when I first heard it. Usually, I sing in front of our fans, but singing in front of ARMY makes me feel like I'm debuting again. I'm grateful to be part of such a good album." Jin responded, "Thank you for agreeing to come so readily."
In addition, Jin prepared a presentation introducing the 'Happy' album, sharing behind-the-scenes stories of each track's production. He explained that he titled the album 'Happy' because "I thought I should include making ARMY happy in the album." He encouraged the fans by saying, "I believe that greater happiness can come when we are happy together. I plan to work hard to achieve this goal, and ARMY, you'll join me, right?"
Toward the end of the performance, Jin shared his thoughts: "Haven't we felt immense happiness in our lives? I thought that was the end of happiness, but there was even more beyond that, and when I thought that was the end, there was still more happiness waiting. If you wait, I believe another happiness will find you."
The fan showcase captivated the audience with swift set changes that harmonized with Jin's music. The delicate production stood out, using vertically moving LEDs to naturally change the stage concepts. The multi-stage setup was designed in four different styles, and each set and special effect utilized objects appearing in the concept photos of the new album, the music video for the title track 'Running Wild', and the pre-release track 'I'll Be There', enhancing the album's connection.
Furthermore, Jin spread happiness by gifting all the fans who attended the event with game console-shaped keyrings and cubes, reflecting his hobbies. For fans who couldn't be there in person, the showcase was also live-streamed globally on Weverse, the global superfan platform, over the two days. The live broadcast was viewed in 214 countries and regions worldwide, proving Jin's global popularity.
