Actress Han Ji Min, the newly appointed host of the Blue Dragon Film Awards, expressed her gratitude to Kim Hye Soo for her heartfelt encouragement ahead of her hosting debut alongside actor Lee Je Hoon.
On November 28, Han Ji Min shared a photo on her personal social media account, writing, “Thank you, mentor Kim Hye Soo,” accompanied by a crying face emoji and a blue heart. The image showcased Han Ji Min holding an enormous bouquet of blue flowers, so large it nearly obscured her upper body. She also tagged Kim Hye Soo, showcasing her appreciation with a thoughtful nod to the Blue Dragon Film Awards’ iconic blue theme.
Kim Hye Soo, who hosted the awards for an incredible 30 years from 1993 until the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards held on November 24 last year, is widely recognized for her elegance and stunning red-carpet fashion. Her departure from the role marked the end of an era.
Taking over as hosts for this year’s ceremony, Han Ji Min and Lee Je Hoon will present the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards, airing live tonight, November 29, at 8:30 PM KST on KBS 2TV. The moment is particularly meaningful for Han Ji Min, who last year wrote a heartfelt letter to Kim Hye Soo, saying:
"I deeply respect and thank you for being in the same place for 30 long years. Though I feel a sense of sadness, I sincerely wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
