BTS member V’s new duet ‘Winter Ahead’ has soared to the top of the iTunes “Top Songs” chart in 75 countries, including major markets like the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, and Canada, BigHit Music announced Thursday.
Released on Nov. 29, the song, a collaboration with singer Park Hyo Shin, achieved widespread acclaim, also securing the No. 1 spot on both the 'Worldwide iTunes Song' and 'European iTunes Song' charts.
The accompanying music video has also gained traction, claiming the top position on YouTube’s 'Music Video Trending Worldwide' chart. The video showcases V portraying a sculptor creating works of art, adding a unique visual layer to the song.
V, known for his love of jazz, co-composed the melody with Park Hyo-shin, crafting a romantic jazz-pop track. The song’s lyrics were written by Jessie Harris, who previously penned Norah Jones’s hit ‘Don’t Know Why', adding an extra touch of elegance to the track.
BigHit Music stated that the global response to ‘Winter Ahead’ underscores V’s ability to connect with audiences worldwide through his music and artistic expression.
