Former NCT member Taeil has recently become the subject of online discussions as K-netizens revisit past instances where his interactions with fans were considered rude or dismissive.
One incident that has resurfaced involved a fan attempting to record him, only for Taeil to ignore the fan and walk past without acknowledging their presence or saying hello. While the other NCT members were seen waving to fans and acknowledging their presence, Taeil was seen quickly walking past the fans even without making eye contact with them.
The short video was shared in a popular online community where one netizen explained that the person recording was Taeil's fan. The netizen shared, "It's sadder because the person recording was Taeil's fan."
This past action has gained renewed attention following Taeil's expulsion from the group after he was embroiled in an ongoing sexual crime case.
Korean netizens criticized Taeil's attitude and actions in the video and commented:
"Such a prick."
"Why did he become an idol?"
"Really..."
"Haechan is so cute and bright."
"And he committed a sexual crime..."
"When was this? Was it when they were doing '2 Baddies'?"
"What kind of action is that?"
"Geez."
"That's so rude."
"I think fans were saying his military enlistment date must've come out because he was so unmotivated during '2 Baddies.' So they were like let's be understanding."
"Fans were so nice and understanding when he was so unmotivated then."
"He's one of the unpopular members so I wasn't interested in him."
"I want to stop seeing videos of this guy."
