Surprising content in ex-boyfriend's suicide note of YouTuber Tzuyang revealed

AKP STAFF

YouTuber Tzuyang and the legal representatives of her late ex-boyfriend, 'Mr. A,' have expressed conflicting views following revelations about their past. The ex-boyfriend allegedly assaulted, extorted, and threatened Tzuyang for over four years before his death.

On July 24th, JTBC released portions of the ex-boyfriend's suicide note. In it, he denied spreading rumors about Tzuyang's past and expressed his frustration over the accusations.

Previously, Tzuyang's team had released a phone call between the ex-boyfriend's lawyer, Mr. B, and the YouTuber cyber wrecker, known as Gu Je Yeok. In the call, Mr. B stated, "I'm just providing information; it's up to Gu Je Yeok to decide what to do with it."

Mr. B claimed that his client, the ex-boyfriend, made the decision to disclose information about Tzuyang. However, the ex-boyfriend's suicide note revealed his desire to avoid further conflict, revenge, or disputes. He admitted to abusing Tzuyang and extorting her income over several years, expressing remorse for his actions.

The ex-boyfriend also left a note for Mr. B, questioning why he claimed to have been discussing Tzuyang's past despite their confidentiality agreement.

In 2022, Tzuyang filed a lawsuit against the ex-boyfriend for the abuse and extortion she endured for four years. She dropped the charges after the ex-boyfriend agreed to pay a portion of the earnings and signed a confidentiality agreement. However, two months later, YouTuber Gu Je Yeok received information from Mr. B and sent a threatening email to Tzuyang's agency. Believing that the ex-boyfriend had breached the agreement, Tzuyang filed another complaint.

The ex-boyfriend reportedly stated in his note that, given his poor health, it was impossible for him to be spreading rumors about the past, contradicting Mr. B's claims.

Mr. B was also reported to have extorted tens of millions of KRW from Tzuyang by threatening her, asking her to promote his products, and securing a monthly advisory contract worth 1.65 million KRW (1,200 USD). He claimed that his actions were simply from drunken frustration but that he received the fees under a legitimate contract.

Mr. B commented on his blog that the decision to inform Gu Je Yeok was made by his client, the ex-boyfriend. He also mentioned on his social media that he would provide additional statements.

In a live broadcast, Tzuyang revealed that her ex-boyfriend and agency head, subjected her to four years of assault, threats, and extortion, starting with revenge porn. She also mentioned being threatened and extorted by so-called "cyber wreckers" like Gu Je Yeok and Jeon Guk Jin.

The Korean Bar Association stated that if the allegations against Mr. B are true, they warrant disciplinary action and are currently investigating the facts. Mr. B has been fired from his position as a legal journalist at a media company.
