On July 11 KST, the members of NewJeans attended began their official activities as honorary ambassadors for Korean tourism for the year 2024, by attending their ambassadorship appointment ceremony. 

The girls were awarded their honorary ambassador plaques on this day by Yoo In-Chon, South Korea's Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. On this day, Yoo In-Chon asked NewJeans, "I hope that whenever NewJeans have a chance to perform or hold interviews overseas, they will always say, 'Please visit Korea!'." 

Furthermore, the Minister revealed that approximately 7,650,000 tourists have visited South Korea thus far in the year 2024. The Ministry's goal is to attract 20 million tourists by the end of the year.
