KARA is set to release a new song featuring the voice of their late member, Goo Hara.
KARA (Park Gyuri, Han Seungyeon, Nicole, Kang Jiyoung, and Heo Youngji) released the pre-release track "Hello" from their digital single 'I Do I Do.'
"Hello" is a ballad themed around the greeting "Ahn-yeong," which means both "hello" and "goodbye." The song captures the diverse emotions associated with greetings and farewells, such as the joy of reunion and the sorrow of parting. These sentiments are conveyed through the members' poignant voices.
According to their agency, RBW (DSP Media), "Hello" is an unreleased track that was initially intended for KARA's fourth full album, 'Full Bloom,' released in September 2013. A Japanese version of the song was included in Goo Hara's Japanese single 'Midnight Queen,' released in November 2019.
Goo Hara had recorded her parts in Korean before her passing. To honor her memory and for their fans, the members decided to release "Hello" with their voices added to hers, creating a complete six-member version for the first time in five years.
Fans responded emotionally to the news, with comments such as:
"I'm grateful the members haven't forgotten."
"I haven't heard it yet, but I'm already in tears."
"It will give me chills."
"It's so sad."
"I don't think I can listen to it because it hurts too much."
"It's precious."
"I'm so sad."
"I miss her so much."
"Their friendship is amazing."
"I'm crying so much."
"This is such a special song."
"Am I the only one crying?"
