Actress Chun Woo Hee has confessed why she tried to turn down a role in JTBC's TV show 'Not a Hero'.
On July 14 KST, the YouTube channel 'Fairy Jaehyung' posted a video titled, 'Spill all the tea you have guys'. In the video, Chun Woo Hee and Jang Ki Yong appeared as guests and talked about the behind-the-scenes of the show.
Jung Jae Hyung, who served as the show's music director, mentioned that Chun Woo Hee tried to turn down the show. She said, "It was physically very hard for me to go back and forth between Daejeon and Seoul for a few months," adding, "It was disappointing to have to divide my energy into two projects."
Chun Woo Hee likes to take responsibility for things, but when she was unwell, "I thought, 'I shouldn't be greedy just because I want to do it,'" she explains, adding, "I was afraid that if I did it greedily, I wouldn't be able to finish it or it wouldn't be as good as it could be."
"I had an intuitive feeling that as soon as I saw the director, I thought, 'I have to do this,'" she recalls. When he met with the director and explained his situation, she said, "He didn't just say he could fit it all in, but he knew the details of the work."
Chun Woo Hee said, "Give me three weeks," and after thinking it over, she decided to participate in the project. In response, Jung Jae Hyung joked, "That's why the filming was delayed," causing laughter. Chun Woo Hee countered, saying, "We were still filming," and explained that this wasn't the reason for any delay.
Previously, the shows 'The Eight Show' and 'Not a Hero' featuring Chun Woo Hee battled for the top spot on Netflix, achieving great success. Chun Woo Hee humbly commented, "I think I benefited from the timing overlapping," and added, "The two works with contrasting characteristics complemented each other well."
Viewers who watched the video had various reactions, such as, "It would have been nice if she came out for promotion, but it was even more fun and better seeing her like this at the afterparty," and "Personally, it was the drama of the year, and I realized the importance of the chemistry among the actors."
