Girls' Generation's Taeyeon ignited a heated debate in popular online communities following the latest episode of her YouTube show, 'Taeng-Forest.'
In her YouTube show, Taeyeon took the time to read and respond to fans' contemplations and worries, offering them advice. One fan wrote to her, "I'm a SONE and a member of the Hawaiian pizza haters. I used to dislike mint chocolate. My friend liked it and always forced me to try it. We discussed it for three hours, always ending up degrading each other."
The fan continued, "So we made up saying let's not talk about this topic again. Two years after that, my taste changed as I grew older I like mint chocolate now. We argued about it before so I couldn't like mint chocolate in front of the friend." The fan sought advice on how she could enjoy mint chocolate with her friend.
Taeyeon shared, "You should confess this. What can you do? You like mint chocolate now. People's tastes change." Taeyeon continued to confess that she used to not like chocolate with nuts before but enjoys them very much now.
While on the topic of controversial foods, Taeyeon shared that she loves pineapple as a topping on her pizza and shared, "I order pineapple pizzas on purpose."
This latest statement from Taeyeon sparked a heated debate in a popular online community where Korean netizens were divided on whether Pineapple belongs on pizza. They commented:
"No..."
"Unnie...no..."
"She knows what she's talking about."
"Love pineapple on pizza."
"She knows how to eat pizza."
"Hawaiian pizza is the best."
"I can't agree with you on this one unnie."
"I don't think we can have pizza together Taeyeon unnie."
"There's a reason I love her. She knows how to eat her pizza."
"I'm so disappointed."
People are still talking about pineapples on pizza? It's a question of taste. You can't argue taste. At least with any results. You can't convince a person not to like a pineapple pizza. If they like it, then that's it. That goes for all other things that have to do with taste: favourite music, dance style, food, etc. Just let people have their tastes.
