BLACKPINK's Rosé in talks to join The Black Label under producer Teddy

AKP STAFF

BLACKPINK's Rosé is in discussions to sign with The Black Label, led by producer Teddy.

On the 17th, news broke that Rosé is set to sign a contract with The Black Label.

In response, The Black Label informed DongA.com that they are "in discussions."

The Black Label is an entertainment company founded by Teddy, formerly of the group 1TYM, in 2016. The company is home to artists such as BIGBANG's Taeyang, singer Jeon Somi, Zion.T, and actors Park Bo-gum and Lee Jong-won.

Rosé and Teddy have been actively collaborating since 2016 as BLACKPINK members and group producers.

Meanwhile, last year Rosé, along with the other BLACKPINK members, successfully held the largest world tour ever by a K-pop girl group, "BORN PINK," attracting around 1.8 million attendees. Additionally, they engaged with a combined total of approximately 2.115 million fans through their performances at the Coachella Festival in the U.S. (250,000 attendees over two days) and Hyde Park in the UK (65,000 attendees).

Since the end of last year, Rosé and YG Entertainment have adopted a separate yet together strategy. They agreed to continue group activities with YG while pursuing solo activities independently.

With this, all BLACKPINK members have now established their own bases for solo activities. Prior to Rosé, Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo each set up their own labels for their solo endeavors.

Jennie announced the establishment of her independent label, Odd Atelier (ODD ATELIER, OA), in December last year. Lisa has been continuing her solo activities through her personal label, LLOUD, since February this year. Jisoo officially announced the creation of her own label, BLISSOO, in February with the support of her older brother.

I appreciated her more after BP lay low because it shows she genuinely likes making music and she has a knack of talent in singing. Can't wait to listen to her songs.

That would be awesome! I’ve been wondering what she was planning. I’ll continue to support her no matter what she chooses 💖
