Karina from aespa is set to take on a new challenge in a mystery adventure variety show. Netflix announced on the 4th that Karina, along with comedian Lee Yong-jin, John Park, Lee Eun-ji, Hyeri, and Kim Do-hoon, will star in the new Netflix original content, "Mystery Investigation Team."
The show follows a team of six members as they form a mystery investigation unit to solve bizarre cases.
The main poster and trailer have been unveiled. The main poster features the investigation team members, along with unidentified beings and strange figures. The team members are depicted with serious expressions as they track down cases, paired with the tagline "Bizarre Cases, Ingenious Investigations," heightening anticipation for their performances.
The trailer captures realistic sets and unexpected situations. The team members struggle to find clues amidst extreme tension. Their teamwork is another highlight of the show. At one point, when everyone was scared, Lee Yong-jin humorously said, "Karina, you go ahead," adding his signature humor to the viewing experience.
Directed by PD Jung Jong-yeon, known for his unique world-building in shows like "Great Escape," "Girls' High School Mystery Class," and "The Devil's Plan," he explained that the show features a group that handles only supernatural mysteries, similar to the "X-Files."
The production team of "Mystery Investigation Team" mentioned, "The unpredictable process of the investigation team solving mysterious cases is expected to stimulate viewers' detective instincts."
"Mystery Investigation Team" will be available on Netflix starting the 18th.
If Karina becomes an actress I bet she will be very popular. The show looks like fun, except for showing all those creepy crawlies. If they have too many of them I don’t think I would like it.
