In the midst of escalating tensions between HYBE and ADOR's CEO Min Hee Jin, aespa's Winter has sparked considerable discussion with her recent interactions with fans on the communication platform Bubble.
Winter was discussing her family's unwavering support during a conversation with fans, where she may have subtly referenced a controversial remark made by HYBE’s Bang Si Hyuk. Winter recounted an instance on Instagram where she expressed feeling overwhelmed, and her brother immediately reassured her that he would handle everything for her.
She also shared a robust message of support from her father, which has caught the attention of fans and the public for its apparent reference to past comments made by Bang Si Hyuk regarding aespa.
In her chat, Winter said, "When I mentioned on Instagram that I was struggling, my brother told me he'd take care of everything, remember? After he said that, our dad was like, ‘I will!!!! Crush them all for you!!! My daughter!!!!!!!’”
This exchange comes on the heels of Min Hee Jin revealing several messages with Bang Si Hyuk and HYBE’s current CEO Park Ji Won during a highly charged press conference. In one message, Bang was seen asking Min Hee Jin if she could “crush” aespa, to which they both laughed.
The choice of the word "crush" by Winter's father in his message is believed by many to be a direct jab at Bang Si Hyuk's earlier use of the term, showing his protective stance towards his daughter during these trying times.
Meanwhile, aespa is gearing up for a significant comeback with their first full album, "Armageddon,"

Put yourself in Winter’s shoes for a while. She was on her lane, recovering from lung surgery WHILE preparing for a comeback, and all of a sudden it’s on national news that one of the most powerful men in Korea wants to crush her. That gotta sting. She’s allowed to take as many jabs as she wants. In fact if I was aespa’s creative director I would name the next album Crush and I’d make sure that it would be their magnum opus and promote it to exhaustion.
