Former T-ara member Ahreum reactivated her social media and shared she is ready for a new start.

On April 29, Ahreum shared a post on Instagram saying, "Everything is finding its place in order. Shall I start anew now? Whenever it gets tough, there's a drama I would rewatch countless times. This is not the end for me, but it is another start. Let's start again."

Earlier on April 21, Ahreum shared, "I've taken care of all the victims that messaged me through Instagram. I will be deactivating my account to concentrate on my life. Everyone has a good weekend and my fans, don't worry too much."

However, Ahreum reactivated her account after a week and began posting new content. On April 30, Ahreum shared an Instagram story saying, "Is there anyone who can listen to my concerns? I want to make people who can be my own (make lasting sincere relationships)."

Nevertheless, netizens have reacted coldly to Ahreum's quick return. One netizen commented, "Didn't you say you were going to quit Instagram?" and Ahreum replied, "I wanted to be active again so I am active again. Is that a problem?"

Ahreum also replied to comments asking about the legal action against the hacker and she shared, "I'm taking care of everything according to the law."

Meanwhile, Ahreum joined T-ara as a member in 2012 and was active until she left the group in 2013. In 2019, she married a businessman. However, last December, she made headlines by announcing her divorce and remarriage simultaneously. At the time, she revealed that her husband had been engaging in child abuse against her children and sparked controversy by releasing photos taken after she was assaulted by her husband.

Then on April 1, Ahreum and her boyfriend were accused of demanding and defrauding money from over 10 fans and acquaintances. Since then, Ahreum claimed she was hacked and deactivated her social media account.
