According to an exclusive report by Star News, Gong Hyo-jin is set to appear as the female lead in Jo Jung-suk's debut music video. Jo Jung-suk is launching his debut as a singer with a project titled "New Singer Jo Jung-suk," in partnership with Netflix.
Celebrating his 20th anniversary as an actor this year, the lineup supporting him is robust, including his close friend and entertainment industry colleague Jung Sang-hoon, along with Moon Sang-hoon, both of whom will assist in Jo Jung-suk's musical debut. The project will be directed by Yang Jung-woo, known for his work on tvN's "New Journey to the West," "Youth Over Flowers," and "The Dictionary of Useless Knowledge" series.
Gong Hyo-jin's addition completes the highly anticipated "Trust in Jo Jung-suk" project. The two previously worked together in the SBS drama "Jealousy Incarnate," which ended in November 2016, and the movie "Hit-and-Run Squad," released in January 2019. Gong Hyo-jin, who last appeared in a music video in 2003 for Lee Soo-young and Yoon Gun, marks a significant return to music videos after 21 years, adding special meaning to this collaboration.
Gong Hyo-jin, dubbed the "hit-making fairy" for her ability to boost not only her own popularity but also that of her co-stars globally, brings excitement to see if she can influence Jo Jung-suk's career as a singer-songwriter as well.
Her next drama project, "Ask the Stars," is a genuine space romantic comedy that travels between a space station and Earth, featuring Gong Hyo-jin and Lee Min-ho.
