Often times, viewers fall for the villain of a K-Drama for their sexiness or charisma, forgetting entirely about rooting for the hero.
This proved to be the case for the hit Netflix horror series Sweet Home.
Actor Lee Jin Wook revealed that he receives marriage proposals from many fans. However, the actor showed concern when they came from younger fans.
The host Jang Do Yeon, shared this concern, asking which of his roles drew the attention. Lee Jin Wook was even more confused because he has been taking darker roles for Sweet Home and Bulgasal: Immortal Souls. When thinking of those characters, Lee Jin Wook wanted viewers to aim for healthier love interests: “I haven’t done a romantic drama in a while… So I want to reply, ‘You shouldn’t have such taste!"
He reminded fans not to idolize characters with unhealthy habits and bad qualities. His lighthearted reminder made those watching the show laugh, but also holds a heavy weight and shows genuine concern for his fans.

He is right to be concerned. Whilst these characters might exude some kind of "sexiness" onscreen, its more down to the actors handsomeness and charisma in bringing that character to life, if you met characters like those in real life you'd be screaming for the police.
Also who sends marriage proposals to celebrities, when has that ever been successful, weirdos 😲
