On December 15, the entertainment establishment manager implicated in Lee Sun Gyun's drug case, and accused of blackmailing/threatening the actor, acknowledged the drug charges during the initial trial. Preceding the trial, she presented a request for a closed trial but her request was declined.
The 29-year-old female manager of a club in Gangnam attended her first trial at the Incheon District Court on December 15.
Instead of the usual prison uniform, she wore casual clothes, specifically a beige padded jacket, which made her noticeable in the courtroom. While defendants in custody typically wear prison attire, exceptions are sometimes made for wearing casual clothing.
Responding to the judge's question regarding her professional status as an employee at an entertainment establishment, the club manager simply affirmed, "Yes." Furthermore, she conceded to the drug-related charges involving former TV personality Jung Da Eun, stating, "I admit to the charges and do not contest the presented evidence."
Jung Da Eun, known for her past role in the cable channel entertainment program 'Allzzang Generation,' has a previous conviction for drug use in both 2016 and 2021. Law enforcement recently probed Jung Da Eun for alleged violations of drug control laws, forwarding her case to the prosecution.
The club manager is accused of using methamphetamine three times with Jung Da Eun and others at her residence in Seoul during March and August. She has a record of six prior drug-related offenses and is suspected of acquiring drugs from a doctor acquaintance and sharing them with Lee Sun Gyun at her home.
Actor Lee Sun Gyun, who is under investigation for drug use, claims he was deceived by the club manager. He further alleges that she blackmailed him, extorting 350 million KRW (270,000 USD) related to the drug incident.
Just for context nothing she admits to makes Lee Sun Gyun guilty and the physical evidence so for has basically destroyed any case against him...
