WINNER's Kang Seung Yoon, who is currently serving in the military, has been awarded for his service.
On December 2 KST, the idol took to Weverse to post a commemorative photo of him with two Outstanding Soldier Awards, which were issued by Park An Su, the Chief of Staff of the Republic of Korea Army, and Son Sik, the Commander of the Republic of Korea Army Ground Operations Command.
He stated, "Inner Circles [WINNER's official fandom name], I've received awards. I dedicate this honor to Inner Circles who worry about my military life every day and night! I love you, Inner Circles."
He shared the same photo on his personal Instagram account, saying, "Just in time for the year-end awards season, I also received some awards."
Kang Seung Yoon received the Outstanding Soldier Award at the 32nd Presidential Military Manpower Office's Nationwide Classical Literature Reading Contest and the 20th Nationwide Youth Book Review Essay Contest held earlier that day.
Enlisting as an active-duty soldier on June 20, Kang Seung Yoon is currently serving in the Army's 6th Infantry Division. He is expected to complete his military service in December 2024.
Since starting his service, he has also participated in some charitable activities. In July, he donated 10 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, asking them to use it for those affected by the floods this summer. "After hearing about the flood damage through the news, I felt deeply saddened, leading me to make this donation," he explained in a statement.
Good job, Seung Yoon! *clap clap*👏
