Since veteran boy group JYJ, C-JeS Entertainment has not had another boy group under the label's management. Veteran K-Pop fans have waited to see how C-JeS would follow up JYJ, and the time has finally come with the debut rookie group, WHIB.
WHIB shout-out video to allkpop:
WHIB (휘브) is an eight-member boy group (Jayder, Haseung, Jinbeom, UGeon, Leejeong, Jaeha, Inhong, and Wonjun) that debuted on November 8, 2023. The group's name, a compound word of the two opposites, "white and black," is a testament to the variety of charms that WHIB's members are hoping to showcase to the world.
Despite their fresh entrance onto the scene, the group has already made waves with their first single album, "Cut-Out." This unique group of rookies has a distinct color (HwiBeu color, to be specific!) that has an addictive nature K-Pop fans are sure to take a liking to right away. "Cut-Out" presents the group's story to the public through two contrasting debut singles, "BANG!" and "DIZZY."
allkpop had the chance to meet with WHIB and get to know the distinct charm of these fresh-faced rookies. In our interview with WHIB, we chat about who WHIB is and what they hope to achieve as a new group. WHIB also unpacks the alternative pop dance title, "BANG!" and powerful synth-laden dance song, "DIZZY." The members openly share their hopes for the debut and explain their musical motivations.
