BLACKPINK is set to recreate their fervent Seoul encore performance.
YG Entertainment announced that 'BLACKPINK: A VR Encore' will take place on December 26th (local time) in Meta Horizon Worlds. The VR concert is a tailor-made rendition of the 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR BORN PINK FINALE IN SEOUL,' which was originally held on September 16th and 17th at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
The performance will feature a medley of BLACKPINK's hit songs, including 'How You Like That' and 'Pink Venom,' running for approximately 70 minutes. This unique opportunity allows fans to experience the concert in virtual reality, captured from the front row of the Gocheok Sky Dome, offering an immersive first-person perspective.
BLACKPINK expressed their excitement, "We are thrilled to be able to share our music with more global fans in a new way. This VR concert is an extension of our heartfelt tour, and we hope our fans enjoy it together."
'BLACKPINK: A VR Encore' will be available on December 26th (local time) in seven countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Iceland, Ireland, and Spain. It will also offer a month-long replay option. More details can be found on the 'BLACKPINK: A VR Encore' RSVP page.
Translation: YG needed a way to cash in on Blackpink one last time.
