On November 17 KST, King Kong by Starship confirmed with media outlets that actor Lee Kwang Soo will not be returning for a new season of 'The Zone: Survival Mission'.

The Disney+ original game variety series, which has thus far spanned two seasons, followed cast members Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Kwang Soo, and Girls' Generation's Yuri as they faced extreme survival simulations. Recently, it was confirmed that 'The Zone' would be returning with season 3 in 2024, with media reports earlier this week naming YouTuber Dex as a potential new cast member. 

Now, with news of Lee Kwang Soo's departure from the cast, it seems more likely that the new season of the game show will undergo some revisions.

Meanwhile, Lee Kwang Soo is currently appearing in the tvN reality series 'Green Bean, Red Bean'.
