It was previously reported that Seunghan from RIIZE would be suspending his activities indefinitely.
While Seunghan has been embroiled in controversy involving personal photos of him being leaked online, after discussion with SM Entertainment has decided to suspend his activities.
After SM Entertainment's official statement was released to the public, Korean netizens shared their opinions on the situation on a Korean online community.
"Regardless of whether this was right or wrong, the person who spread it was so malicious that it honestly made me feel uncomfortable."
"The person who leaked the photos really shouldn't be left alone... They should be dealt with harshly without any agreement until the end... I wonder if there is a reason for doing this other than because he was upset that his friend is doing well. He is so evil."
"What is this indefinite suspension? If it's not withdrawal, is it just keeping them in until the results of the lawsuit come out?"
"They made such a big fuss over something that wasn't even a crime, and in the end, they made him leave the group. Idol fans are in impressive numbers."
"Due to the nature of male idols who have many female fans, these issues must be taken seriously. How can they spend money and become a fan after knowing this? I think SM did well this time."
"I'm not a fan, so I don't know anything else, but the thing I'm most curious about this is that, based on the circumstances, it seems like the person who was a friend of his was leaking the photos. If they were close friends, I'm curious as to why he was leaking them. From that time on, he captured or recorded Seunghan's posts, kept them, and released them a few months later. It gives me goosebumps to think there might be people like that around me."
"For the future of the group and other members, it is right to leave."
"If he's inactive indefinitely, he's effectively withdrawing."
I believe Koreans think they're playing house and idols are well dolls , that once you take out of the show nothing goes wrong. This is someone life he has been training for this and because of rants from a jealous person he should lose everything!!!!!. The entire "controversy" is just a jealousy from a bitter hearted person he unfortunately called a friend. God forbid if something happens they'll be the first talking of mental health
