g.o.d's Kim Tae Woo issued an official apology for paying an ambulance driver to give him a ride to an event.
On October 16th KST, Kim Tae Woo officially apologized through his label IOK Company for using an unlicensed ambulance to get to an event.
As previously reported, an unlicensed ambulance driver was sentenced to a year and six months in prison along with a 2 million KRW (approx. US$1,670) fine for violating the Emergency Medical Services Act and driving without a valid license under the Road Traffic Act. Turns out he was paid 300,000 KRW ($250) to transport Kim Tae Woo from Ilsan, Goyang, to an event venue in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, back in March 2018.
Below is Kim Tae Woo's statement in full.
"Hello, this is Kim Tae Woo.
I apologize for the concern and disappointment this incident has brought to many of you. I wholeheartedly acknowledge that it was my fault without any excuse, and I am deeply regretting it.
I promise that this will not happen again.
Again, I apologize from the bottom of my heart."
That's great and all but a man is going to prison for a year and a half for this. I get that the driver should've never agreed but KTW shouldn't have seeked out these services either.
