A comedian who made a career of impersonating Big Bang's G-Dragon faces roadblocks following the recent drug allegations.
Recently on October 25, G-Dragon shocked his fans by being booked for the second time on drug-related charges. He is currently under suspicion of using a third type of illegal drug, broadly classified as an "opioid substance", including recreational drugs made up of opium poppy leaves (heroin) and coca leaves (cocaine).
G-Dragon had previously been investigated for smoking marijuana in 2011 but received a suspended indictment at the time. As this is his second time charged for alleged illegal drug use, many netizens are saying his return to the industry will be difficult. They also made comments about comedian Choi Ji Yong, who only recently came to the limelight after impersonating G-Dragon after a long period of being unrecognized after his debut.
Netizens commented: "Okay, now you could be the real one then"
"You should impersonate the G-Dragon before he did drugs."
"G-Dragon in a multiverse."
"lol, yeah I also worried about this guy's career after the news."
"Should have divested your investment."
"Maybe make a satire out of his drug use?"
"I guess it's best to make a fictional character like Danaka-san. There's always risk with celebrities."
What roadblock is he facing....he could still impersonate him... or another talent in impersonating someone else...what was the point of this article.
