Ravi and Nafla have received sentences for violating military service laws.

On August 10, the 7th Criminal Division of the Seoul Southern District Court sentenced Ravi to 1 year in prison probated for 2 years as well as 120 hours of community service, which means he won't be spending any time in prison unless he violates his probation within 2 years. Nafla, however, was sentenced to a year in prison.

Prosecutors previously demanded 2 years in prison and 2 and a half years in prison for Ravi and Nafla, respectively, this past April.

As previously reported, Ravi enlisted for his mandatory military service in October of last year and served as a social worker. Prosecutors believe that Ravi signed a contract worth 50 million won with a military service broker even though he has no health problems and pretended to have epilepsy to receive an alternative service decision. In February of 2021, Nafla enlisted as a social worker. Nafla is reportedly conspired with a broker to avoid military service and falsify public service worker attendance records.

wow. It took a long time for them to bring this to a conclusion. With so many public military service scandals, I still can't believe they made those decisions. I'm still so disappointed in Ravi. I sincerely hope everyone else that still has to serve learns from this. It's just not worth it.

Why news sites always lie for views? Here is actually what happened if anyone in this site still wants to hear the truth

1) Ravi is not sentenced with prison time. He is only under probation which means the court didn't think his crime was serious enough to be prisoned and he'll be free but observed by officials and only get one year of prison if he commits a crime during probation time.

2) You might question why ravi's sentence isn't prison. It's because he wasn't the one who contacted the broker and paid for an alternative. It was the co-ceo of groovl1n and the l1ve, ceo kim, who paid the broker. Ravi didn't even knew he was committing a crime because he actually have mental and physical health issues thatll allow him to enlist as a public service worker and thought he was accepted as one because of his actual issues, not because of the contract his co-ceo signed without telling him or nafla

3) Ravi didn't even knew he can escape military because of ceo kim and enlisted when it was the time. He also apologised and promised to re-enlist even though the court rule isnt require a second enlistment

4) This case wasnt only about ravi. There are 53 men who used this broker to escape military time. There are sons of higher ups, sons of ceos, sons of wealthy families, other celebrities, national athletes etc. but you would only see news about ravi because all those people are shielded and protected by media while ravi is the scapegoat thrown under spotlight

5) Only reason why nafla gets actual jail sentence is because there are other crimes he actually committed, his sentence is barely about the military controversy
