Ravi and Nafla have received sentences for violating military service laws.
On August 10, the 7th Criminal Division of the Seoul Southern District Court sentenced Ravi to 1 year in prison probated for 2 years as well as 120 hours of community service, which means he won't be spending any time in prison unless he violates his probation within 2 years. Nafla, however, was sentenced to a year in prison.
Prosecutors previously demanded 2 years in prison and 2 and a half years in prison for Ravi and Nafla, respectively, this past April.
As previously reported, Ravi enlisted for his mandatory military service in October of last year and served as a social worker. Prosecutors believe that Ravi signed a contract worth 50 million won with a military service broker even though he has no health problems and pretended to have epilepsy to receive an alternative service decision. In February of 2021, Nafla enlisted as a social worker. Nafla is reportedly conspired with a broker to avoid military service and falsify public service worker attendance records.

wow. It took a long time for them to bring this to a conclusion. With so many public military service scandals, I still can't believe they made those decisions. I'm still so disappointed in Ravi. I sincerely hope everyone else that still has to serve learns from this. It's just not worth it.
