Boy group BDC, a trio made up of members Kim Si Hun, Hong Seong Jun, and Yun Jung Hwan, has decided to part ways with Brand New Music after 4-years.
The group's label announced on August 18 KST:
"Hello. This is Brand New Music.
First, we express our sincere gratitude to all the fans who have shown much love and support for BDC.
This is an official announcement about the end of BDC’s exclusive contract with Brand New Music.
After a long, in-depth discussion and careful consideration with Kim Si Hun, Hong Seong Jun, and Yun Jung Hwan, the members of BDC, we have mutually agreed to conclude the exclusive contract between the group and Brand New Music.
After the release of their digital single at 6 PM on August 26, BDC will end all official promotions as artists under Brand New Music
We sincerely apologize to the fans of BDC, who have always sent such unconditional support to the group, for breaking this news abruptly.
Even though their exclusive contract with our company has to an end, we will continue to wholeheartedly support and cheer on the members’ growth and the bright future that lies ahead of them.
Lastly, we would like to once again express our gratitude to FINE, who have continued to love and support BDC and ask that you continue to show support to the members and their new beginnings in different areas.
Thank you."
Meanwhile, BDC debuted as a dance/ballad trio in October of 2019 with the release of a special single album, 'Boys Da Capo'. Earlier this year, the trio appeared on the JTBC boy group competition program, 'Peak Time'.
They did moderately well on Peak Time and I thought they gained some new fans, but the company didn't even capitalize on that...quite sad...they were a great group.
