Lee Jung Jae's label denied rumors the actor was involved in T.O.P's casting in 'Squid Game 2'.
On June 29, Netflix revealed the official cast lineup for the second season of the international hit drama 'Squid Game', and netizens were shocked to see former Big Bang member T.O.P featured in the lineup. Many speculated lead actor Lee Jung Jae had a hand in casting T.O.P to the drama as the two celebrities are known to be longtime friends.
However, Lee Jung Jae's agency Artist Company has denied the rumors, stating, "Some of the reports claiming actor Lee Jung Jae was involved in the casting of 'Squid Game 2' are not true. The casting of a project is up to the director and production company. Actor Lee Jung Jae particularly understands that because of the great interest in 'Squid Game 2', many actors worked hard to make an appearance, and it's decided through auditions. We'd like to reiterate that it's not true actor Lee Jung Jae was involved in the casting for 'Squid Game 2'."
'Squid Game 2' is set to start filming in the second half of 2023.
