On June 13, BLACKPINK's Jennie expressed regret via her Instagram story over being unable to complete the group's recent concert in Melbourne.
In a heartfelt message, she wrote, "Dear Melbourne Blinks - I'm so sorry i wasn't able to finish the show on Sunday." Assuring fans of her current state, she continued, "I am doing my best to recover atm. Your understanding and support means the world to me."
She expressed gratitude towards those who attended the Melbourne concert, concluding, "Thank you everyone who came to our Melbourne show, Love you guys!"
Netizens voiced concerns over the BLACKPINK member's sudden exit from the stage during their concert in Melbourne on June 11. She took the stairs down in the middle of their "Lovesick Girls" performance, which left the three remaining members to complete the act. Jennie's absence from the Melbourne concert was a disappointment to fans, but they understood her situation. Many fans took to Twitter to send Jennie well wishes and to express their support.
"I hope Jennie feels better soon," one fan tweeted. "She's such a talented performer and we all missed her at the concert."
"Get well soon, Jennie!" another fan tweeted. "We love you!"
Jennie's health scare comes just a few weeks after BLACKPINK's other member, Jisoo, was forced to miss a concert in Osaka due to a positive COVID-19 test.
Despite the recent setbacks, BLACKPINK is still scheduled to perform in Sydney later this month.
If I walked off my job without a credible explanation I'd get fired, ya she's a human being, a privileged human being, I feel like jennie could go on stage and rip a fart and blinks would be like
