SM Entertainment has just announced the departure of members Sungchan and Shotaro from the mass member boy group, NCT.
Based on the agency's statement below, released on May 24 KST, Sungchan and Shotaro will leave NCT in order to debut in a new boy group, which SM Entertainment is expected to launch by the third quarter of 2023.
In addition, SM Entertainment revealed its intentions to add more regional members to NCT's Japanese unit, which will mark the end of NCT's infinite expansion, and also publicize the new unit's creation process with fans.
Meanwhile, Sungchan and Shotaro debuted as members of NCT on October 12, 2020 as participants in the NCT 2020 album 'Resonance Pt. 1'.
