Jimin's 'Like Crazy' extends its record as the longest-charting Korean solo song on Billboard Hot 100 this decade
Spending a fifth consecutive week on the Billboard Hot 100 after Jimin released his solo debut album, Jimin is still registering new achievements on the numerous 'album' and 'single' charts, further exhibiting how big of a success his solo debut album is! The success is even more impressive considering that he had only ten days of promotions for the album, with just one TV show appearance in the USA during that time. Yet, his success level in the USA has been a first for any Korean soloist in history!
On the main singles chart, the Billboard Hot 100, after the historical #1 debut with the biggest sales week of 2023 and the biggest sales week for any Korean soloist in the USA, Jimin's 'Like Crazy' spent its 5th week on the chart, extending its record as the longest-charting Korean solo song on the chart since Psy's 'Gentleman' back in 2013, making it the best performing Korean solo song on the chart in the past decade!
'Like Crazy' stayed on the main singles chart for a fifth week after ranking 7th on the Digital Song Sales chart, making it the 7th best-selling song in the USA for the week.
Being among the top 10 best-selling songs in the USA for five consecutive weeks, 'Like Crazy' now became the longest charting song by a Korean soloist inside the top 10 of the Digital Songs Sales chart in the past ten years, and the second-longest charting song in the overall history of Korean solo songs on the chart.
The song also stayed on the World Digital Song Sales chart for a fifth consecutive week, as the second best-selling foreign language song in the USA for the week.
In this fifth week, 'Like Crazy' also tied to become the 7th longest charting Korean solo song on the Billboard Global 200 chart, having ranked on the chart for five consecutive weeks as well.
The song also ranked for the 5th consecutive week on the Billboard Global (Excl. US) chart, whereas Jimin ranked on the Billboard Artist 100 chart for a 6th consecutive week, thereby becoming the 2nd longest charting Korean soloist on the chart.
Looking at the album charts, 'FACE' spent its 5th week on the Billboard 200 chart, becoming the second longest charting album by a Korean soloist on the chart. Its chart position also made it the highest-ranking album by a Korean soloist on the chart in its fifth week of release!
The album was also 2nd on the World Albums chart and 19th and 17th on the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart, respectively, in week 5. 'FACE' becomes the 3rd longest charting album by a Korean soloist on the Top Current Album Sales chart.
Congratulations Jimin, we are so proud of you!!
