MAMAMOO member Hwasa is said to be currently in talks with her agency RBW ahead of her exclusive contract which will be expiring in June.
On May 23, RBW told NewsN, "Hwasa's contract is still valid for now. MAMAMOO is currently conducting a tour in the Americas. [...] We are in talks as to whether Hwasa will renew her contract," where seemingly there is yet any conclusive remarks to be made on this renewal.
Hwasa debuted as a member of RBW's girl group MAMAMOO back in June 2014, and signed a two-year contract with RBW in March 2021 about three months before the expiration of her seven-year contract.
Meanwhile, Hwasa will be appearing with Kim Wan Sun, Um Jung Hwa, Lee Hyo Ri and BoA on tvN's upcoming variety show "Dancing Queens on the Road."

I hope she's wise enough and renews. out of all the lesser-known labels, RBW is by far still the better choice. just look at e.g. Wheein (outside of group activities, mind you) or numerous other idols who left their "home company", signed with nugu labels and slowly faded into insignificance.
