BLACKPINK's Jennie will be attending the '76th Cannes Film Festival' for 'The Idol'.
On May 11, YG Entertainment stated, "Jennie is attending the 'Cannes Film Festival' on May 22." Previously, the '76th Cannes Film Festival' announced 'The Idol' will be played at the festival for the 'Out of Competition' category, but Jennie's attendance was not yet decided.
'The Idol', created by American artist The Weeknd and 'Euphoria' creator Sam Levinson, is a new series about a singer named Jocelyn (played by Lily-Rose Depp) who becomes romantic with a mysterious cult leader (The Weeknd). It's set to premiere at the 'Cannes Film Festival' and will begin airing on June 4.
The '76th Cannes Film Festival' is taking place on May 16-27.

Its not about a singer who becomes romantic with a cult leader...its a completely degenerate POS about how she`s used and abused to make her career better
it was supposed to be about a troubled starlet falling victim to a predatory industry figure and fighting to reclaim her own agency and was changed into degrading love story....
One of the crew said this about it..
“It was like any r*p* fantasy that any toxic man would have in the show — and then the woman comes back for more because it makes her music better,”
So not really what i`d call a romance..
